Health Benefits of Male Orgasm

If sex is the dessert in the buffet of a relationship, then orgasm is the icing on the cake. In some relationships, the sex is the glue that binds you together.

Orgasm is obviously the goal at the end of every sex session, it could be described as the pleaure that your relationship orbits around.

Less well known is the fact that there are health benefits to orgasm too.

There are the endorphins and other hormones that are released during sex, but that's not all.Recent studies have shown that orgasm is equally important as any other bodily function.

In the Fifties, Dr Alfred Kinsey did studies about the sex lives of everyday people that brought him worldwide recognition and fame. One report proved that stress was greatly reduced by sex, and people who had more sex and orgasms were less hostile and violent than those who had less sex. This shows that sex has a long term effect on the psychological balance, and calms people down in the long term.

Surprisingly, other studies showed that frequent orgasms were related to lower mortality rates in both men and women (Duke University, 1970s and Caerphilly, 1997). Sex was also linked to lowering the risk of heart attacks in women (Psychosomatic Medicine, 1976).

An American doctor (Dr. Ted McIlvenna) showed that more active people sexually take fewer sick time, and feel more joy in their lives. Dudley Chapman, a noted Gynecologist stated that orgasms could help the body to repel infections, and this theory has been supported by psychologists from the Wilkes University.

An Australian study carried out more recently showed that ejaculating often between the ages of 20 and 50 can dramatically reduce the risk of prostate cancer in men.

Tied in with this study is other research that suggests that regular ejaculation can prevent painful urination later in life. According to these studies, ejaculation is essential to minimising the risks of many prostate-related issues.

These studies, along with our natural enthusiasm for the subject reinforce the idea that humans were built for sex, and are meant to enjoy it immensely. Without the frequent combination of the exercise and release of sex, it can affect the body and mind equally.

One study carried out by Gordon Gallup showed a link between mood-altering hormones in semen and a reduction in depression in women. It was theorised that these hormones are absorbed through the vagina and reduced the ocurrence of depression.

So there you have it! Frequent sex and orgasms are good for both you and your partner so get at it, you have nothing to lose and a whole lot of pleasure and good health to gain.
